Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has expanded its suite of learning and career development tools designed to support its flexible services professionals with the launch of its new platform, Vario Advance.
Via its partnership with performance management platform Bridge, Pinsent Masons Vario will offer new online training to members of its flexible services population which is made up from freelance lawyers, paralegals and other professional services consultants.
The majority of the high-quality content available is prepared by experts at Pinsent Masons and is supplemented by external specialists. The platform will include 24/7 access to all modules, mobile access, a slick searchable content library, and an information management reporting suite, which will allow Pinsent Masons Vario to monitor engagement and adjust, create future modules accordingly. Access to the content will be made available to all freelancers on assignment or those who have worked with Pinsent Masons Vario in the past year.
Content offered on the platform will be supplementary to the traditional, in-person, training already offered by the firm.
The new platform follows the launch of Pinsent Masons Vario in October bringing together its fast-expanding range of alternative legal services as it further embeds its strategy to become a purpose-led professional services business with law at the core.
Matthew Kay, Managing Director of Vario from Pinsent Masons, said:
“The partnership with Bridge is designed to offer flexibility to freelancers who often miss out on training and development because of time and travel commitments, rather than to replace existing content. This enhanced flexible approach to L&D is a logical next step following the group’s international expansion in recent years. It’s unrealistic to expect all our professionals to be able to attend in-person training across all of our offices. This challenge has been underscored by the global pandemic and is exciting to be able offer high quality development for our people that accessible and flexible.
We believe we are one of the first – if not the first – contract lawyering provider to offer flexible training on this scale. The combination of an innovative ALSP with a leading global law firm means that we benefit from the infrastructure, knowledge and expertise of Pinsent Masons. It’s because of this that we are now able to offer Vario Advance. We believe this significantly differentiates us in the market and will be highly attractive to the freelance legal community.
Not only will this partnership offer our freelancers all-important flexibility to access training and development courses when they want to, and in the manner that they wish to, but it also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in and developing our freelance community.”
“We’re incredibly excited about this new partnership with Pinsent Masons Vario and are delighted to support our client with such a unique offering for the legal marketplace. We look forward to supporting the continued learning and career growth of all their users through our innovative approach to learning and development”
